In Town

2 commentaires:

  1. Talk about what there is in your town. Teach the vocabulary to say where something is :

Ex. Where is the police station? It's in Green Avenue.
Where exactly? It's on the corner of Green Avenue and West Street.

The children work in pairs(twos). One has town plan R and the other has plan Y. They ask questions and write in the names of the buildings that are not marked on their sheet.

Teach the vocabulary for giving directions. Ask the children to give directions to get from one place on the plan to another.
Ex. How do I get from the bus station to the hospital?
You turn left onto Park Street then go straight on. Go past the park and the school. The hospital is on the left, opposite the café.
This can be simplified to start with.

  2. ERRORS
There are a few mistakes in the French translations on one of these sheets. Unfortunately I don't know how to correct them without taking everything off and starting again! So here they are :
On the instructions for the town plans
'dans la plcace' should be 'sur la place'
'dans le coin' should be 'au coin'
